- Ocado has appointed Tesco grocery category director Amit Chitnis as its new chief commercial officer. Ex-Ted Baker CEO Rachel Osborne has also joined the board of the online grocer
- Pets at Home has hired ex-Asda exec Steve Shirley as operations director for retail, completing the division’s senior leadership team. Shirley was most recently vice-president for wholesale and convenience at Asda
- Matalan has continued its hiring spree under new chief executive Jo Whitfield, appointing ex-The Very Group COO as chief supply chain operations officer and former Paperchase exec Katherine Davis as chief retail officer
- Frasers Group fashion CEO Greg Pateras has stepped down. Pateras, who was CEO of ISawItFirst.com before Frasers bought it last year, and stayed on board to lead the integration of the business and Missguided into the retail group
- The BRC has named retail veteran Andy Higginson as its next chair, succeeding Tony De Nunzio as his tenure comes to an end in September 2023. Higginson has been chairman of Poundland, N Brown and Morrisons and is currently chair of JD Sports Fashion
- Sweaty Betty has named former Jo Malone exec, Melissa Mullen, as global brand president. She replaces chief executive Julia Straus, who is returning to the US with her family
- John Lewis property and development director Chris Harris is to step down from his role after five years
- Secret Sales has hired ex-Ted Baker CIO Leon Shepherd as chief technology officer.The move comes as the online discount site prepares to invest in its technology to fuel global growth
- Farmison has named ex-M&S Food managing director Andy Adcock as its new CEO. It comes after the online butcher wasacquired out of administration by a consortium led by ex-Asda boss Andy Clarke in April
- Dreams has bolstered leadership team with ex Asos and New Look IT director Dan West joining as CIO, and Petra Kasperova being promoted to CFO
- Auto Trader has hired former Halfords and Tesco boss Matt Davies as its new chairman
- Pandora has appointed Sarah Chenery as its new marketing director for the UK and Ireland
- Pentland Brands has hired ex-Disney Stores Europe CEO Graham Burridge as chief financial officer
- Influencer Molly-Mae Hague has resigned from her role as creative director for PrettyLittleThing to look after her daughter Bambi, who was born in January.
- Boots’ chief financial officer Michael Snape has quit the health and beauty retailer after five years. He will be replaced by existing Boots finance executive Sam Hunter.
- Seasalt has appointed Specsavers global portfolio director Mel Wilcox into its newly created role of chief information officer. Ex-Monsoon Accessorize head of international Duncan Tennent also joins the fashion retailer as director of strategic partnerships.
