Amazon won’t be hiring any corporate-level leaders or executives for the next few month, citing the economy.
The news comes on the heels of the retailer pausing hiring within its main retail division through the end of the year.
The corporate hiring news was delivered in a letter to staffers from Beth Galetti, SVP, people experience and technology, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
“We anticipate keeping this pause in place for the next few months, and will continue to monitor what we’re seeing in the economy and the business to adjust as we think makes sense,” Galetti said in the letter.
