Temu’s prices undercut dollar stores

Temu has become the second most downloaded app on Google Play And Apple’s app store since it launched in September. The online shopping platform, which tells consumers that its low prices enable them “to shop like a billionaire,” poses a competitive threat to online and brick-and-mortar retailers like dollar stores. A search on the app for products under $1 finds many items across a large swath of categories.
