Lidl is set to drop all the customer limits imposed on certain fresh fruit and vegetables as supply issues begin to ease.

From Monday, the German grocer is understood to be removing its limit of three per customer on cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes.

It joins Asda and Morrisons in lifting restrictions that were introduced after adverse weather conditions impacted the availability of certain salad items.
