Retail Technology Review:
Enabling a connected experience for the consumer: Digital signage provides the platform to bring multi-channel strategies together for the grocery, retail and QSR Sectors.
Providing the consumer with a connected and experiential journey is key in a world that has seen a fundamental and lasting change in how consumers receive information and make their purchasing decisions.
Pulling those multi-channel messaging together in a digestible manner is a challenge, but one that is driving the rapid growth of digital signage within the grocery, retail and quick service restaurant (QSR) sectors.
Ergonomic Solutions Group and its US subsidiary, SpacePole Inc., has used its more than 25 years’ experience of providing technology mounting solutions to develop a range of indoor and outdoor Digital Signage enclosures to support these industry evolutions. These solutions will be launched at NRF 2023, 15 to 17 January, Booth #3139 at the Javits Center in New York City.
Indoor digital signage enclosures
Already widely installed in one of Europe’s major grocery retailers, the SPDS1000 & SPDS1001 indoor enclosure is available as a wall or window mounted enclosure for the 55” Samsung QH55R or QH55B screen. These configurations are ideal for both in-store and outward facing promotional, wayfinding, and informational messaging. The enclosures were designed to have a slimline, minimal footprint to enable easy installation. Ergonomic Solutions’ indoor enclosures have passed the Samsung Design Review process and are equipped with safety glass and security screws.
Outdoor digital signage enclosures
Designed to withstand wind up to 90 mph/40m/s (Hurricane level 1), our SPDS3001 and SPDS3002 outdoor single or double side-by-side solution, is perfect for the QSR drive-thru, hospitality, grocery or retail environments. Supplied with an anti-graffiti coating as standard, these rugged yet sleek enclosures are constructed specifically for the outdoors and are compatible with Samsung’s OH55F/ OH55A/ OH55A-S outdoor display screens. Both the SPDS3001 and the SPDS3002 have passed the Samsung Design Review process.
Hook & Rail
Ergonomic Solutions’ SPDS2000-series is a Hook & Rail system that has been optimised for the retail, QSR, hospitality and entertainment markets and can be configured to meet all requirements for digital menu boards and other ceiling and wall mounted applications.
Ergonomic Solutions’ Hook & Rail system supports screen sizes from 22” to 55”, in both portrait and landscape. The tilt and screen height adjustment features allow exceptional visibility, depending on ceiling height.
As with Ergonomic Solutions’ SpacePole range of products, Hook & Rail is both configurable and modular. Single or multiple screens can be used. They can also be wall or ceiling mounted, single-sided or back-to-back and can be mixed and matched from a range of components to create a custom installation.
Speaking prior to NRF 2023, Ian Dewar, CEO and Managing Director of the Ergonomic Solutions Group, said: “Digital Signage has unlocked a wealth of opportunities for the retail and hospitality industries. It provides a platform that delivers messaging and information in a consumable format for the customer.
“It works! Samsung’s own research has shown that 1 in 5 who viewed digital signage content made unplanned purchases and nearly 60% wanted to learn more about an advertised product. Our expertise in providing modular, configurable, and customizable technology mounting solutions give us an almost unique opportunity to bring the SpacePole brand to a wholly new and exciting application.”
Ergonomic Solutions’ new SpacePole Kiosk & Signage product range is manufactured in line with the company’s core value to respect the planet, and reflect the ideals presented in its Sustainability Policy.
