Workshops Can Be Lucrative…
Our signature workshop is The Retail Operations Management Workshop
The regular fee to attend is US $1,995 per person. Based on the market you operate in, it may be necessary to offer this popular 3-day workshop for $1,495. Based on that…
Revenue: 20 Participants x $1,495 = $29,900
4 or 5 Star Venue* – Estimated at $75 per day per person = $4,500
*This example uses an average Daily Delegate rate which includes coffee and tea, full lunch, two refreshment breaks, meeting room, projector, screen, flipcharts and markers. Some venues operate with room rental and AV charged separately but then food and beverage should be lower. (These are guidelines. Europe and North American Daily Delegate rates are generally higher; Middle East and Africa rates are generally lower, etc.)
Printing – name plates, name tags, presentation notes plus binders = max. $500
Miscellaneous – max. $1,000 – Prizes, Balloons for Games, Trinkets, etc.
If you deliver the workshop yourself, you earn $23,900.
So, you get 20 people to pay you $1,495 for three days of excellent specialized Retail Management Training…that is only $498 a day; not a lot for serious management training.
If you require assistance from DMSRetail to deliver your first workshop, then you would pay us $5,500 for expenses and $1,500 per day for delivery of the material. So, you would keep $23,900 – $10,000, which is $13,900, which is still a very nice profit.
Now, let us assume you need to offer a further discount in your market. So, you get 20 people to pay $1,295 each. That means a revenue total of $25,900. The venue, printing and misc. expenses would remain the same at $6,000. If you deliver the workshop yourself, you would earn $19,900. Again, if you require DMSRetail assistance, you would pay $10,000 and would keep $9,900 for yourself.
Once you have gone through onboarding and initial training with DMSRetail, you will be able to deliver the workshops by yourself but, of course, we will be available to do that for you if you so choose.
It is our expectation that you would seek consulting work with retail companies. If you do, and if you require any assistance, DMSRetail will be pleased to work with you on providing the quote to your client.
We would always ask you to have us review your quote before submitting it so that we can be sure we can offer you the resources you may need to fulfill all of the elements of the work.
If DMSRetail would need to be involved in fulfilling some of the consulting contract, we would charge you our daily consulting rate for in person assistance, plus all travel related expenses.
Retail Management Consulting is quite lucrative so, naturally, all of those expenses would be taken into account prior to any quote being submitted to your client.
