The report projects retail media revenues will surpass television ad revenues by 2028.<\/p>\n<h2>Retail Advertising is a Win-Win<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/images.unsplash.com\/photo-1511268559489-34b624fbfcf5?ixlib=rb-4.0.3&amp;ixid=M3wxMjA3fDB8MHxwaG90by1wYWdlfHx8fGVufDB8fHx8fA%3D%3D&amp;auto=format&amp;fit=crop&amp;w=1000&amp;q=80\" alt=\"retail advertising\" width=\"556\" height=\"371\"\/><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Retail advertising, that is\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">global advertising from retailer-owned e-commerce sites<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, is growing exponentially, and this is a huge win-win scenario for retailers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Big-name retailers dominating the industry<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0such as Target, Amazon, and Walmart, to grocers such as Ahold Helhaize and Carrefour, are gearing up to bring big advertisers to their official websites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For these retailers, whenever a consumer brand sells a product through an e-commerce platform such as Amazon, and that same brand pays for advertising on the platform, it\u2019s a double-dip win for a platform like Amazon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Digital channels have only become more potent due to the rise of social media and the pandemic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In contrast, consumer privacy data is being brought deeper into focus as people\u2019s rights and protection will need to remain a top priority.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Currently, Amazon and Walmart are the leaders and pioneers of retail advertising with their retail media businesses, and seem unshakable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If these trends continue, brick-and-mortar establishments will no longer be the main income stream for these companies.
