Waitrose shoppers continued to complain about bare supermarket shelves this weekend as the impact of the IT glitch drags on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, Waitrose apologised after shoppers found shortages at stores after an IT update hindered the grocer\u2019s replenishment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the supermarket said the issue had been fixed last week, shoppers still complained of empty shelves over the weekend on social media.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday Waitrose told The Telegraph it had \u201cfixed the cause of the problem\u201d, and that \u201cregular daily deliveries\u201d were going to all its branches.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMany shops now have good availability, and we\u2019re addressing localised issues as quickly as possible,\u201d it said.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the problem looks to have persisted at some stores over the weekend according to a number of posts on Twitter.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph reported that the retailer was struggling to order stock at typical volumes from suppliers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The disruption is understood to have mainly hit fresh food deliveries such as fruit, vegetables and meats, however packaged goods suppliers say they are also experiencing issues with the supermarket.<\/span><\/p>\n
