\/\/<\/span> Sainsbury\u2019s has opened a new concession store with Greggs<\/h6>\n
\/\/ <\/span>The concession is located inside a petrol station in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire<\/h6>\n\n

Greggs and Sainsbury\u2019s have partnered for the first time to bring its customers a new type of concession in the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new Greggs shop has opened inside a Sainsbury\u2019s Biggleswade petrol station, located in Biggleswade, and has created 12 new jobs for the area.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both the baked goods retailer and the supermarket chain are expected to open further concessions together later this year throughout the UK.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Open from 6am to 9pm every day, the shop will enable customers stopping to refuel to choose from Greggs\u2019 freshly prepared menu including the sausage roll, steak bake and vegan alternatives, as well as options from the supermarket chain\u2019s\u00a0convenience range.<\/p>\n\n

The launch comes as Greggs has delivered strong sales growth driven by \u201cstrong strategic progress\u201d and its store expansion programme.<\/p>\n

Greggs property director at Tony Rowson said: \u201cOur opening at Biggleswade will be our first with Sainsbury\u2019s as we expand and diversify our retail estate as part of our ambitious property strategy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe opening will allow us to provide Greggs\u2019 favourites to even more customers, in a format that complements Sainsbury\u2019s existing petrol station offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sainsbury\u2019s food commercial director Rhian Bartlett added: \u201cWe\u2019ve launched this new concept as part of our ongoing plan to transform our takeaway food offer with top brands \u2013 bringing even more innovative and delicious food and drink to our customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first time we\u2019ve worked with Greggs and we\u2019re delighted to be partnering with one of the UK\u2019s favourites for freshly prepared food-on-the-go.\u201d<\/p>\n
