<\/div>\n\/\/ <\/span>Asda moves key worker 10% discount to its rewards app<\/h6>\n\/\/ <\/span>Blue Light Card holders who scan their Asda Rewards app in-store for the first time between May 4 and May 31, will also receive a \u00a32.50 bonus<\/h6>\nAsda has said that Blue Light Card holders will now receive their discount through its Rewards app.<\/p>\n
The change, which comes into effect from Thursday means that cardholders will get 10% off their shopping in-store by now scanning their Asda Rewards app at the checkout, rather than presenting their Blue Light Card and ID.<\/p>\n
\nThe supermarket currently offers a Blue Light Card to workers in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector and armed forces with a range of discounts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Asda senior director for loyalty\u00a0Mark Baxter said: \u201cThe Blue Light community does a fantastic job at keeping us all safe, healthy and supported, so we\u2019re happy to be able to offer them exclusive offers through our popular Asda Rewards app.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs well as benefiting from everyday low prices, Asda Rewards users earn pounds through the app, and by building their Cashpot, are rewarded for simply shopping with Asda.\u201d<\/p>\n
Blue Light Card chief executive Tom Dalby said: \u201cWe are really proud of our partnership with Asda and know how much our members have enjoyed using the discount. Asda has always done so much to show its appreciation to NHS staff and other frontline workers, and the continuation of this partnership will support millions of blue light workers across the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince last May, our members have saved a phenomenal \u00a3128 million when shopping at Asda and I hope the extension of the 10% discount plus the added benefits of using the Rewards app, will continue to help families and individuals across the UK during the cost-of-living crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n
