\/\/<\/span> Selfridges are set to delve in to the circular economy with a new Worn Again season<\/strong><\/h6>\n\/\/\u00a0 The flagship department store will host events giving users the chance to get clothes upcycled and take part in a swap shop<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\nSelfridges will host a \u2018season of second hand and circular shopping\u2019, it has announced.<\/p>\n
The premium department store\u2019s Worn Again season will showcase the Reselfridges range at the purposefully designed \u2018The Edit\u2019, in London Birmingham and Manchester, in an effort to encourage customers to shop second hand.<\/p>\n
Selfridges is delving into the circular economy and hopes to have 45% of its transactions through its Rental, Repair and Recycle scheme by 2030.<\/p>\n
This comes as new research has highlighted the growing popularity of the circular economy, especially among young people.<\/p>\n
As part of the Worn Again season, the department store\u2019s London flagship will host a Marine Serre pop up shop from today (April 21) showcasing the the French designer\u2019s approach to regeneration.<\/p>\n

The 29 and 30 April will see the launch of first Marine Serre sneaker, the MS Rise, and each person who purchases a pair will have the chance to print their own t-shirts using the soles.<\/p>\n
Later in the season Selfridges will host further events including a Swap Shop series, a charity Car Boot Sale and an outdoor furniture fair and a reimagined stock market.<\/p>\n
Selfridges has previously featured other sustainability initiatives at the Corner Shop pop up in its flagship store, including a silver-themed event at the end of last year.<\/p>\n
