In today&#8217;s episode, we&#8217;re going to discuss a topic that many<br \/>\nof my clients face and some tips you can use to make these<br \/>\nconversations easier: how to have difficult conversations with good<br \/>\nstaff.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Here are some key takeaways from this episode:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">It&#8217;s essential to have policies<br \/>\nand procedures in place, even if you have a small team. This will<br \/>\nhelp you maintain a healthy work environment and avoid any<br \/>\nmisunderstandings. Do\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">To start a difficult conversation,<br \/>\nuse these three sentences: 1) &#8220;Here&#8217;s what I would like you to stop<br \/>\ndoing,&#8221; 2) &#8220;Here&#8217;s what I would like you to start doing,&#8221; and 3)<br \/>\n&#8220;Here&#8217;s what I would like you to keep doing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">When addressing the issue, be<br \/>\nspecific, and clear, and provide examples. Offer solutions and<br \/>\nreinforce positive behaviors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">If you&#8217;re struggling to find the<br \/>\nright words or approach, seek guidance from a coach or mentor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cYou have to keep the ship upright. We have to keep<br \/>\nthings moving smoothly, and you deserve to have a business being<br \/>\nrun the way you want to run it.
