I often get asked my thoughts on going into business
\nwith friends and honestly, I have seen it succeed and I\u2019ve seen it
\ngo sideways. Today, we are going to focus on the good. I\u2019m
\ninterviewing Susan Mocker and Devon Cretella, owners of Extending Grace, a home decor
\nshop in Hubbard, Ohio. They are sharing partnership advice and what
\nworked for them and how two friends turned a shared creative hobby
\ninto a successful retail business partnership.<\/p>\n

\nskill sets compliment each other. Susan is great at social media
\nand \u201cfront end\u201d tasks while Devon takes on more behind-the-scenes
\ntasks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\ndecision making. They started their business with a shared belief
\nthat both of their intentions are good and that they are always
\nworking toward the same end goal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\nsomething isn\u2019t working and both are willing to try new things.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
\ntheir shop for an annual planning retreat. They plan Extending
\nGrace\u2019s year with intention away from home and their shop to avoid
\ndistractions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n
\nbuilding and collaborating with their community. In the episode,

\nworkshops, the online platform \u201cCommentSold,\u201d and bringing in
\noutside teachers to host workshops in their store (for free!).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
