The GMB union confirmed its Coventry members will walk out on 28 February, 2 March and between 13 to 17 March.<\/p>\n
Members met to discuss the next steps of its industrial action last Thursday following its strike in January which saw more than 350 employees at the retailer\u2019s Coventry distribution walk out.<\/p>\n

GMB senior organiser Amanda Gearing said: \u201cThey work for one of the richest companies in the world, yet they have to work round the clock to keep themselves afloat.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s sickening that Amazon workers in Coventry will earn just 8p above the national minimum wage in April 2023.<\/p>\n
\u201cAmazon bosses can stop this industrial action by doing the right thing and negotiating a proper pay rise with workers.\u201d<\/p>\n
In response to the ongoing industrial action, Amazon said: \u201cWe appreciate the great work our teams do throughout the year and we\u2019re proud to offer competitive pay which starts at a minimum of between \u00a310.50 and \u00a311.45 per hour, depending on location.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis represents a 29% increase in the minimum hourly wage paid to Amazon employees since 2018.<\/p>\n
\u201cEmployees are also offered comprehensive benefits that are worth thousands more-including private medical insurance, life assurance, subsidised meals and an employee discount, to name a few.\u201d<\/p>\n
