Mamas & Papas has poached Asda\u2019s finance exec Sarah Ashby as its new chief financial officer.<\/p>\n

Asbhy, who took up the post on January 19, most recently served as the supermarket chain\u2019s senior finance director of projects and M&A.<\/p>\n

She joined Asda in 2020 as a senior finance exec for George, before being promoted to senior finance director for clothing and general merchandise in 2022.<\/p>\n\n

Prior to joining the grocer, Ashby has worked at Procter & Gamble, The Kraft Heinz Company, and McVitie\u2019s owner Pladis.<\/p>\n

Her appointment comes as Mamas & Papas said it was on course for a record year after reporting a bumper Christmas.<\/p>\n

The nursery retailer\u00a0is set to open up to ten further concessions in Marks & Spencer and Next stores this year, as it pushes forward with its expansion plans.<\/p>\n

It also plans\u00a0to expand across Indonesia, Thailand and Spain, with the business set to open its first stores in Thailand and Indonesia in March, following last year\u2019s launch in Australia.<\/p>\n
