<\/div>\nA Norfolk-based couple have won a fight against LVMH owner Bernard Arnault over the name of their gardening company.<\/p>\n
Victoria and Lawrence Osborne were victorious over the luxury conglomerate, which owns brands such as Louis Vuitton and Dior, after a tribunal ruled in their favour in a trademark battle against the couple.<\/p>\n
The Osbornes registered the name of their home and gardening company, L V Bespoke, as a trademark back in 2021, having launched the business during the pandemic.<\/p>\n
The couple went on to receive a legal letter on behalf of Louis Vuitton objecting to the trademark, claiming their logo could lead to \u201cconsumer confusion\u201d, legal documents said.<\/p>\n
Following a two-year dispute, Intellectual Property Office hearing officer Matthew Williams ruled the fashion giant\u2019s trademark objection \u201cfailed on all grounds\u201d.<\/p>\n

Ms Osborne told The Telegraph: \u201cWe had a battle on our hands. And at the time, we wondered what to do, because obviously, it could have a huge financial impact.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a huge decision to do the fight. But I had in my gut that it was something worth fighting for.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cThe evidence that they portrayed as an opposition just didn\u2019t seem realistic at all.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just absurd to think that they\u2019re challenging on the grounds that they did.\u201d<\/p>\n
