roast potatoes, cranberry sauce and tin foil will see price cuts, as well as drinks and nibbles such as mulled wine, bucks fizz, tonic and peanuts.<\/p>\n<p>Morrisons is investing over \u00a34m to cut prices by an average of almost 20% and has chosen to include products that were particularly popular last Christmas.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Subscribe to Retail Gazette morning<\/span><strong><span class=\"al\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p>The total price of all the items is nearly \u00a32 cheaper than the same basket would have cost in December 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Morrisons chief customer and marketing officer, Rachel Eyre, said: \u201cWe know that Christmas is an\u00a0expensive time of year\u00a0and that our customers are having to make tough choices about what to put in their baskets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are working hard to help them when it comes to their festive grocery shopping and want to protect them from rising costs so despite the significant inflation we have seen over the last twelve months, our basket of 58 festive items is cheaper than it was in 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This comes as Morrisons is supporting this year\u2019s
