Selfridges has unveiled plans to make staff cuts across some of its shops and head office.<\/p>\n

According to This is Money, the department store\u2019s managing director Andrew Keith informed workers changes would be made to some teams under an \u201cefficiency restructure\u201d.<\/p>\n

In a letter seen by the news outlet, Keith told staff: \u201cWe\u2019ve been reviewing how Head Office including some small teams in retail who support our stores are organised to best deliver for our customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo do this involves looking at our structures, our costs, our revenue lines, and our ways of working, from top to bottom\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

He continued: \u201cRegrettably this is likely to mean some of our head office teams, including some small teams in retail who support our stores, will be resized and reshaped.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Selfridges\u2019 boss also said the change was designed to \u201cunlock better ways of working and offer the potential to deliver long term sustainable growth and profitability for our business\u201d.<\/p>\n

Employees will reportedly be told more about potential redundancies on Friday by the retailer\u2019s people director Maria Glasscock.<\/p>\n
